NFPA Viscosity Grade Selection Tool
The National Fluid Power Association (USA) has collected the hydraulic fluid viscosity recommendations for specific pumps and motors from the major pump OEMs in NFPA Recommended Practice T2.13.13-2002. The following calculators allow you to select a specific pump and input the temperature operating conditions in your equipment. The proper fluid viscosity grade is then displayed based on the OEMs fluid viscosity recommendations. You may choose to view the fluid viscosity grade in NFPA or ISO standard format. You may also choose to identify a single fluid grade that is suitable to meet the OEM viscosity requirements of multiple pumps.
