Performance Details

DYNAVIS® is a premier additive system developed to meet the Maximum Efficiency Hydraulic Fluid (MEHF) performance category. MEHF is a new performance level for hydraulic fluids that was designed to meet industry needs for increased power, efficiency and performance.

MEHF was developed through years of extensive testing to define fluids that improve the efficiency of hydraulic pump operation. The benefits of this improved efficiency include:

  • increased hydraulic power
  • reduced fuel consumption (and costs) per unit work
  • improved productivity

Improve performance at low and high temperatures

Hydraulic equipment can experience a wide temperature range from start-up to operating temperature. MEHF products made with DYNAVIS resist the change in viscosity due to temperature changes to a greater extent than traditional hydraulic fluids. That means lower viscosities for easier start-up at low temperatures and higher viscosities at operating temperature.

Increase system efficiency

Viscosity affects the pump efficiency. Too high a viscosity at start-up means the pump does extra work to pump the fluid (low mechanical efficiency); too low a viscosity at operating temperature means too much fluid flows past the moving parts of the pump (low volumetric efficiency) and is not available to do work. Both effects combine to reduce overall system efficiency. MEHF products made with DYNAVIS do a better job than traditional fluids of keeping you in the optimum efficiency range.
